CARE & REPAIR

Maison Shéron objects are created to be used, traveled with, lived with and preserved. Natural changes in leather, canvas, metal, wood and other materials become part of an object’s individual history.

ARCHIVAL CANVAS™

Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture, heat and direct sunlight. Remove surface dust gently with a clean, soft cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or abrasive materials.

LEATHER

Protect leather from prolonged contact with water, oils, cosmetics, alcohol and excessive heat. When not in use, store the object in its protective packaging in a cool, dry environment.

HARDWARE, WOOD & LACQUER

Protect hardware from abrasive surfaces, chemicals, fragrance and excessive moisture. Clean only with a soft cloth. Wood, veneer, marquetry and lacquer should be protected from sudden changes in temperature or humidity and prolonged direct sunlight.

REPAIR & RESTORATION

Preservation is part of ownership. Where technically possible, the House can evaluate objects for maintenance, repair or restoration. Each request is assessed according to material, construction, condition and the availability of appropriate components.
